The Problem

Parkinson’s is a scary disease to be diagnosed with, especially when you’re young. In fact, depression and anxiety are twice as common in newly-diagnosed Parkinson’s patients and there is currently a giant lack of support for patients.

The Solution

We created Parkylife, an initiative bringing together all the inspiration, good vibes and positive thinking around the disease. Parkylife celebrates the brighter side of Parkinson’s. To kick off the campaign, we created a pack of cards to be handed out to newly diagnosed patients via doctors. We collaborated with over 50 illustrators including Stanley Chow and Call Me George to create each individual card with its own unique story. Packed with tales, hacks, and perks to get patients feeling Parky positive, and to shake up perceptions on Parky’s for good. Other assets include website, social media and press. The vibrant colour scheme and playful typography reflects how we want to break stereotypes and go against the conventional rules of how we are meant to perceive a disease such as Parkinson’s.
